Can someone post some pictures how the OEM(ish) ladder holds onto the little door please.

try these images

the top just hooks over the door and the bottom clamps. the weight is taken by the top hook and the bottom fixing just stops any movement

there is a rubber pad top and bottom to protect the door looked like double sided badge tape when i took one off a while ago

Already thought of that Wink

Have some 1.5mm rubber strip in the outhouse which I bought for another project. Was going to glue it onto the ladder brackets. If nothing else it will help grip and prevent rattling:)

I got one made up in stainless , fella owed me a favour , there's a bit of work in getting the bends correct .get it galvanised so it doesn't rust or get marked by mucky boots !
