I made this but added 2 uprights to line up with the horizontal holes already at the front of the Chassis, the plate itself is bolted to the 2 recovery hook mounts and I moved the recovery point forward. I used 8mm Steel plate for the construction.
to give this

This is mine, based on a landy mount that came with my winch then adapted to fit the troop

Thats how the one I made looked, started with a universal winch mount, bracket either side where bumper bolts to the chassis, box section between them and braced to the end of the chassis rails. _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++ |

it's all pretty self explanitery once you get the bumper off, I've done half a dozen or so hidden mounta now so any questions, fire away. Plate needs to be wide enough to sit on the chassis legs and obviously deep enough for the winch to sit on. I'll try and find some pics of brackets etc. is it going on a 3.0? _________________ 2000 3.0 Trooper Duty swb |
