I have just sourced new old stock trooper wings for front and rear. i have changed the front wings on a mk1 before but never the rear.
has anyone done this ?

hi there

when you say 'rear'  do you mean the complete panel?

is it accident damage or tin worm?

neither of my mk1's have that much rot that It would necessitate a complete panel replacement

but I suppose its a matter of cutting off the old and replacing it, as long as your ok with a grinder and a welder?

oh and removing the rear window   Confused  Smile

It looks as though panel is bonded underneath.rear window.

if you are changing the entire panel up to the window its possible to grind one edge of the window lip or make an overlap section

you would need to do this for around the door appature and rear light

I think that the panels are pregnant cut ready to go. Lights are certainly already cut out.
