|
|
Hello
While rolling around on the floor looking at my leaking steering box, I noticed that there is fluid dripping down from the back of the sump guard, even when parked on the flat. It looks and smells like water.
At first I put it down to condensation, but it was there at 3pm today with the weather at 35 degrees. I haven't noticed a huge loss of coolent...I say while looking for a torch to double check!
Is there anything I should be looking for in particular in that area?
thanks

Hold on the aircon doesn't have liquid in it. I'm thinking that the it must be coolant as it looks a little green. I suppose a perished hose is to blame, with my luck it will be a gasket on something impossible to get to.
thanks

the aircon creates condensation and the drain for it is on the bulkhead at the back of the engine passenger side if my aircon is running can form quite a wet spot when stationary |

If it is green don't lick it. It could be a coolant hose that attaches to the metal pipes that run above the gearbox bellhousing.
The leak detector dye they put in a/c systems is also green. Does your aircon work properly. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition

It gets cold but does struggle to cool the cab on a very hot day like yesterday.
if the blowers are aimed on me then its good but the people in the back don't get the same benefit. Its definatly not as good as a modern system, but it might need a regas
thanks
