I noticed a clicking from the engine bay which also effected the idle.

I'm guessing its the air con coming on and off as the noise is a plate on the end of the compressor rotating and stopping?

Is this normal

Im guessing the answer is here
http://www.itocuk.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29632

Everything normal.  The thing I don't understand is why it cuts in and out.

I dont have climate control just air con so its on or off.  I usually have it on the coldest setting and give  the cab a blast once in a while so why does it decide to turn off.

Thanks

Jon

It kicks in and out as it reaches temp/pressure. It affects the revs because it puts a big load on the engine.

thanks

Everydays a school day on here!

Does your air con get very cold like a modern car, mine struggles to cool cabin space on a hot day.  It might need a regas.

thanks

I have just had mine regassed in fact. It gets quite icy now. If you get yours done they will tell you if it is leaking by leaving it on vac for a while and looking for the leak detector dye.
