1995 Trooper auto 3.1TD (2002 import)

Can anyone confirm whether the injector pump is cable operated? I can't see a cable so I am presuming it is not. Which is the relevant replacement for this part?

Thanks

I was getting some black smoke and a misfire with also a loss of power on acceleration although it eventually picks up. I have checked the turbo which seems ok. I have also checked the injectors and they are fine so I wanted to swap out the pump to see if it resolved the issues.

Thanks

Anthony

Finally the mechanic removed the fuel pump and it is without a cable so based on posts i have seen it is a Bosch VE type. Does anyone know where I can pick one of these up or have a spare one laying around I could purchase?

Thanks

Same place the Tooth Fairy lives -  Smile

Bit rare I think but I do have a good airflow sensor which is a possible cause of you problems if you want it ?

Finally received a 2nd hand pump and had it fitted. All smoking and misfiring has gone. I even used the opportunity to change the timing belt happy as larry now. Very Happy
