This website identifies the diagnostic connection described in this thread a 2-pin connection:

http://codes.rennacs.com/Auto-Transmission/Japanese-Korean/Isuzu-Automatic-Transmission.php

I can see two 2-pin connectors in the area just to the above and left of where the clutch would be on a manual.  One of the two pin connectors has the pins positioned like:

_  _

The other like this:

_ |

The latter is larger than the former.

The website above suggests to use the former (given is simple diagram) but getting a wire to connect from one pin to another is just impossible (for a fat fingered oaf like me anyhow).

Am barkng up the wrong tree?

I'll post some pics tomorrow to help explain my waffling.

Thank again Dylan, mine has a blank plate on it (same as the one on the other side) Does me think that someone has been plating and removed it or did some models not have one. Confused

I know this has probably been gone through before but how many diesels pre euro5 spec have carbon filters or oxygen sensors?
The American spec Trooper had a 3.1 petrol engine which was really a chevy engine and I suspect thats what these codes are for.
