Hi,

I was searching something about this theme and I can't find nothing relevant.

here in Portugal, by force of the price of gas, we tuned up more diesel cars, and so, the offroads aren't exception.

by example, recently I have tuned up my 3.1TD with:

-hybrid turbo, same turbo outside, but with bigger compressor and turbine inside.
-change the fuel pump piston from 10 (origin) to 12
-remove some weight of flywheel (about 2kgs +-)

and had already straight exhaust pipe.

I run with BF MUD 33/10,5R15

I don't tried offroad with this new setup yet but on street, big differences!

before, at 3k RPM, there wasn't more power (probably no enough fuel from pump)
and now, can go up to 4,5/5k RPM with no problem.

before, with original turbo, the pressure was 0.8 bar
now, have 1.5bar constant and pike of 1.9bar
(measure with glycerine's gauge (same as industrial air pressure-more accurate) direct from inlet (in EGR hole on inlet))

and what my mechanic said, it's soft, probably in middle what this tune it really capable of.

next, will be electric fan on top off IC and probably 2 electric fan on radiator working same time off viscous fan but outside.

what is your setup for your offroad?
Cool
