3.1 Auto
The weather has been a lot warmer the last few days but I've noticed that even with 2-3 glow plug cycles it is taking forever to start (5+ seconds of cranking without starting)
Glow plugs have just been changed, battery is good, and I've just done an oil/filter change.
Once started I can drive to work, shut down, and it will restart with no hesitation. Runs with no issues once started.
I'm thinking it might be the starter, as occasionally it sounds like the starter rings do not fully engage and make a grinding sound. A 2nd attempt used to start it without any issues.
Any suggestions? _________________ 93 3.1 LWB Auto |

Just some more info:
Fuel tank is almost empty, no fuel light yet but it is 3/4 empty.
Battery indicatory says its good - Has a green ring displaying a charged battery. I notice that when I glow the plugs the dash indicates half way between 8v and 12v, then up to 12v when idling, going up to roughly 13.5v when moving. _________________ 93 3.1 LWB Auto |
