Some pictures of how to do a oil rail pressure sensor change on a 3.0 engine .
1/12&10mm socket, 27mm spanner, clip pliers 2/ Pull off the rubber i/cooler trim and remove 3/ 2 pipes and 4 bolts, remove the
Screwdriver and tub for parts .New orps &seal the air inlet pipe . intercooler
4/remove the metal i/cooler bracket ,unclip the 5/undo the 10mm bolts holding the insulation on 6/27mm on the oil pipe, sharp bang
throttle body plugs ,squeeze hard on the clip and unclip the breather pipe with the hand cracks it off .Not
ends - save the gasket . against the ERG valve lol !
Here's the orps . Make sure you dont lose the tiny O seal
in the pipe fitting face - one each end
Unclip #2 injector for the bigger fingers to Cut down 9/16 AF makes it easier to get the orps out.
get at the orps clip.
Old orps out and the new going in . After this it needs setting on Tech 2 _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

Hiya gribble just wanted to say i changed my orps today and your guide helped massively and the old girl is now running spot on again.
with regards to setting the sensor on tech 2 is it a must? My friend whos a vauxhall technician says the ecu should learn itself
rather take your advice tho will it affect running?
Thanks mate. wayne |

Pictures are still brilliant - as is the thread - thanks to Gribble using tinypic rather than photobucket which has now ruined many hundreds of internet threads. _________________ 02 3.0 Trooper

About to change ORPS.
You mention o ring seals in oil pipeline.
Should I order new seals for rebuild, and if so how would you descibe the items to the Isuzu dealer.
Thanks. |

I'd say definitely change seals. I didn't notice I slightly damaged a seal on removal and had oil everywhere once it pressured up! they are not expensive. Ask for HP oil pipe seals, clearly visible on the isuzu parts catalogue - they are grey in colour and quite thin IIRC. _________________ 2001 3.0 DT LWB Duty - Dragon Green Metallic. |

Hi.
Thanks for advice.
Picked up the 2 rings yesterday for oil feed...£20 approx, and ring for new ORPS.....£5.
And to think my first car..a 1950.Ford Prefect which came with petrol in the tank cost me £25!
The purchase took place in the last century, of course. |
