Bit more tinkering. Finished mounting the aux sockets. Had to think about it.
Found some 6mm ply I had lying around. and drew around the sockets backing plate.
Then added an extra 5mm to the top and bottom:
The socket holes are 32mm diameter. I also drilled pilot holes for the screws. You will also notice there is an offset notch at the top:
I then chopped out the outer two dividers on the switch holes and trial fitted the ply behind the opening. The notch is to allow clearance for a molding rib behind the dash:
Next was to pull the wires through the holes and plug the sockets in:
Finally screw the front plate with the screws provided into the ply clamping it in place:
