Hi everyone, I've been replacing the radiator on my 3.2 petrol trooper, and removed the two rad hoses and drained out all the green coolant that I could. However, seeing that the top and bottom rad hoses on the 6VD1 engine connect quite high up on the engine, I'm guessing there is still a lot of water in the block + heater matrix.
I've read the thread about flushing with water, but I wondered if there was a drain point on the block, or other hose you can remove to get all the old coolant out, because I think I only managed to drain about 3 litres out the system by removing the rad hoses and radiator. I think the system takes more like 8L ?
Any advice would be welcome, seeing as I'm changing the coolant I just want to make sure its all drained.
Thanks |
