|
|
My abs light has come on, I've noticed no difference when driving, or braking,
The guy I use for mechanical work has no tech two, and he has no codes for the light,
There has been no work carried out, except replacing the alternator, as discussed here before.
Will I need found a tech two mechanic, i don't want to work the dealer as they couldn't diagnose the alternator problem despite having tbe mother motor a week. |

doesn't matter it's the same way for all years you link pin 12 to pin 4 and put the ignition on it will flash the light as a code post the code up and we can tell you what the fault is |

diagnostic plug, the numbers are usually stamped on the back where the wires enter the plug, they are very tiny though. i use a split pin but a piece of wire is fine, and it should flash the abs light |

After putting on tech two, the error code comes as either wheel speed sensor, or the wiring to the sensor.
The garage has quoted £200, for new sensor as both sides will need replaced apparently, plus labour and vat,
So does that sound right, over to you. |

Would you suggest replacing the sensors, and presuming the wiring is fine, or pay for them to check wiring and still having to replace the sensors.
Also is it a big job, would labour charge be large. |

i check the resistance of the sensors and normally find a big difference between the two which sort of says thats the issue. if they check them and they are the same then that could mean a wiring issue but to be honest i've not an issue with wiring yet on an isuzu.
as for time should take less than an hour to test the resistance and change the sensors |
