Hi,

I bought a Russian offroad van, in Poland, from an Aussie chap, who'd transplanted the 2.8 4JB1-T engine (the gear driven cam type) into it.

He mentioned a slight coolant leak when I picked it up, and after starting to disassemble the cooling system, I think I've found it in the form of a rubber hose that practically fell off in my hand due to the two metal hose unions it was clamped too being totally rotten.

It's not too much of an issue (I hope) as I'm doing a major overhaul on the engine anyway to get it ready for an overland holiday this summer, but I can't find mention anywhere of what the actual parts are called, in order to hunt for replacements.

I've added a link to a pic, missing hoses circled.  Does anyone have any idea what parts I need to order, or better yet, know of a 2.8/3.1 that's being broken that might have them?

Thanks!

Ah cheers Rhanagar.

Where did the diagram come from?  I dug through the workshop manual, but may have missed that.

http://ecat24.com/opel/catalog/models/1/

Select GB in the top right corner and use the Monterey of the year of your truck.

Frontera A will have the listings for the 2.8 4JB1

If Dan has nothing then this Facebook group may help:
