Hi everyone

I'm I right in thinking that if all the recall work has been done then the 3.0 engine is basically good?  Or is it still rubbish?

I'm trying to find out if my imminent purchase is a good idea or not, do you think that as its had a full service history by an Isuzu dealership that all the recall work will have been done?

thanks

Jon

Nope. Phone your dealer or IM with the registration and VIN.

Your nearest one, as they are the ones who will potentially be doing the work:

Not a problem Smile

thanks for the add , just bought a trooper  , brought it home , bit lumpy in low revs and not that quick at pulling away , but sits at 70 fine ish , thought it might just needed a clear out as only used for short trips ( 4k in 6 years ) but looking on line i think it might be injectors , there is a letter about recall dated 2009 in the paperwork with a form to fill in for the work and one for the dealer , this has not been filled in , have i bought a pup? can i get it fixed ? can i still get it repaired under the free recall thing? its a 51 plate citation dt and yes you have guessed it a 3 litre , only got 92 k on the clock, reg fx51vzw
cheers

The recall is still going. Phone IM with the reg and VIN number and they will tell you more:

Still worth a confirmation with IM/dealer as opposed to facebook guesswork.

All it takes is a phone call.

Oil needs to be spot on for this engine. 5W30 fully synth. Also worth changing both filters (one either side).
