Hi, I have some problem With 4x4 system and have tried to read all post on the forum.  The  TOD Box under right seat is numbered

8972047910 while T2 says it is 8971826820 alpha code Eu Electronic system TOD. Im confused cause 8971826820  is supposed to fit 97-

99 models. Mine is a 2000 (Y).

No error codes for the Box though.

At the moment only error code 32, but sometimes  21 and 33.

Need help here  and any comments higly appreciated!

Bregards

Hi Eithan,  car runs like its in limp home mode (code 33) With little Power ,and theres no clicking in the vsvs.

Measured ca 9,5 volts at blue and grey connectors. VSVs bench tested and they Works.

Both 2 + 4 wd hoses on actuator fron With vacuum.

Cant hear any click from the rear. Speed sensor changed.

Code 32 say axle disconnect ouput Circuit low or ground. Today, only got code 32 on t2.

Also checked vacuum hoses and seems fine, but Close to the engine ecu its an air filter for the vacuum hose but also to other hoses
with  no end. Is that correct? no suction here.

But what about the TOD box/transfer Control unit? I was going to measure the Connections as per Trooper manual for error code 32 + 33

but the pins to measure is not as outlined on section 4B2-23 in manual

Axle switch front looks a bit tired but bench test ok. Maybe internal short?

Regards
Nor

Forgot to say codes on TOD(chassis)

Red check light flashes fast.

Car is very little used the last Three years. Mostly standing still.

Red check light flashed a couple of years ago but went out when turning ign. off and restarting.

Green TOD lights may or may not flash in any pos.

Low gir ok.

So, local IM garage confirmed transfer Control module 8972047910 is the correct one.

Was playing With T2 and looked at the ABS DTCs and it showed up 24 not present 4 x 4 switch error.

Is this the same axle switch as the one mounted on the front actuator?

no as the 4wd  system isn't part of the obd system, the tod part is just the transfer box so there must be a switch on that that tells the ecu it's in 4wd.

the pipes by the ecu are breather pipes there shouldn't be any suction on them and it won't matter if that air filter bit is on it or not

Thank you for Your reply,

So, does this indicate that there might be an internal error in the TOD ecu if the switch is an integral part of it?

Or does this occure because of other error/s, such as the ABS error code 24 or the 32 on the powertrain? Next

would maybe be to check the ABS EHCU Connector pin-out check note 9.

I still dont understand why the T2 says TOD ecu is 8971826820 and pls confirm by pressing enter (or F1), when

it In Fact is TOD ecu 8972047910 Stock from the factory. Can this cause the error codes ?
