Hi all.
I've just entered the world of Trooper ownership (1994 Bighorn Irmscher) and am slowly working through all its (long) list of faults.
I've searched here and on the net and read the manual, but still have a query regarding the central locking operation.
If i use the key (that's all I have, no fobs etc) in the Passenger lock all 5 doors open and lock ok. If I use the key in the Drivers lock, just the drivers door opens and closes?
Therefore safe to assume the motor etc works. I've checked all the rods etc are attached ok. The "lock" button on the Window/lock switch assembly does nothing at all?
Does the feed from the drivers lock go through that switch block to operate the other doors and is it therefore the window/lock switch that's the culprit, or am I missing something else?
I'll go and investigate more tomorrow when its dry and light (i have no garage to work in) but just wondered if (as most things seem to be) this is a common problem that people already know the answer too.
Look forward to any comments and replies.
Many thanks.
Bren.

Driver lock should operate electrical switch on actuator, take door card off and check output of actuator. If that work common fault is broke wire where wire goes back into main chassis. Find wiring diagram on manual, search on forum.
