During the last couple of years i've been having issues starting my 2.8 4JB1T engine when is cold. After tons of investigation and changing lots of parts related to fuel delivery I believe I've now managed to find the source of my problems, glow plugs are not getting any power at all.

I've disconnected the cable that feeds all the glow plus and there is no power to glow plugs at all. When turning the key i can hear the relay clicking (mr5a001a1 relay) but still there is no power to the glow plugs cable. I swapped the relay with the Headlights one as they are the same on my car and both relays work ok with no issues so the relay seem to be ok. Also I've tested the 60a fuse for the glow plugs and is ok.

Before taking everything apart and trying to trace any wiring issues, is there anything else I can try to check to pinpoint the ? Maybe check if there is power to the relay it self?

After more investigation, I found that glow plugs come on when i turn the ingition ON for ~30s when the sensor on the thermostat housing is disconnected.

All the testing it has been donw with a warm engine.

Is my sensor faulty or is this normal?
