During the MOT some movement of the steering column was noted.I've traced it to the up down adjuster mechanism area.There is a nut and bolt to the off side of the column and a brass coloured pin that would allow swivelling if the bolt was extracted,to the near.The bolt is tight,the play is in the pin.Can it be removed without drilling,and replaced with a bolt or a new pin?If my description is unclear,I'll try and get some pictures of the wee behooly. |

you sure it's not the shear off bolt that comes loose just under the top cover? |
