Hi
My d-max does not do too many miles and recently I was getting a lock up the rear brakes when reversing slowly so on further investigation and a lot of swearing I managed to get the drum off to find that one of the friction plates of a shoe had come away from the metal part.
I have ordered new drums and shoes but just wondered if anybody has any tips for removing old drum and also replacing the shoes.
Thanks
Karl

Job done now and is not a difficult job. Just do one side at a time and you have something to reference.
Horse shoe clips on the pin that holds the handbrake arm onto the shoe need to be squeezed shut after removing from old shoe and fitting to new shoe (not spring clips)
Also piston in brake cylinders could be popped out very easily but a bit of care and they are good.
