Hi all. I just picked up a 2005 2.5 rodeo for a friend .accelerated to 80 on motorway and the engine light came on. It still drove the rest of the way home (60miles) fine at 70 but I can't get the engine light off.tried disconnecting batteries for about 5/10 min but no joy. Also the dipped bulbs blew , not sure if this is related? Is there any other way to clear engine light?
Thanks

Ok thanks. Is there a minimum time to leave battery disconnected? It drives great ,not sure what the problem could be.

I think the check engine light only comes lights up on the Rodeo if there is an exhaust emission problem. Which normally is the EGR valve sticking.
