Hello all

I’m looking to renew my oils all round on my 02 3.0TD. I’m not sure what to use in the rear diff, I’ve read a few similar topics on here and checked the plate in the engine compartment for the G80 option code, didn’t have one. Did have S7C so I’m guessing it isn’t  a LSD diff.

My question is can I use lsd 80/90 regardless (in case it is LSD) or should I be using the correct oil for the type of diff I have .

Apologies if this has been previously answered to death.

Thanks

W

It's ok to use lsd oil where there is no lsd. It is a dearer oil and is not required if you don't have lsd but it is perfectly fine to use it.
