Hi all, I have recently purchased a Rodeo 2.5td Denver 2008 common rail and was really pleased to see the bonus Prodrive button.
I can’t find much info except that it’s meant to increase bhp from 136 to 169 and torque from 217lb ft to 289lb ft which would be really useful as I do a lot of heavy towing. I understand there can be switch wiring problems with them but my switch lights up it’s blue circle perfectly and I am 99% sure that’s all it does. I’ve tried the 4th and 5th gear slip road acceleration test and pressed it pulling a heavy trailer up a hill but it doesn’t seem to do anything at all even at 2200rpm where the new peak torque is meant to be. My local Isuzu dealer seems to know very little (that he’s willing to divulge) so I thought I’d ask on here.
Is it actually a physical chip/ power box or just an ecu map?
Is there a way of unplugging anything to test it? (my navara had an extra injector pump wiring harness with a power box)
If it lights up as it should, is it working as it should?
I’ve emailed Prodrive too but no reply but would love to get it working as the truck is great otherwise and goes well anyway but I hate having something fitted that doesn’t work as it should!
Thanks, Julian.

early rodeo's were an add on box but as i think your ecu is under the bonnet on the drivers side i would imagine it's a remap of some sort unless you can see an add on box.
