i am having fuel problems with my 1992 2.8td trooper.the vehicle will not tick over on its own and with accelerator fully pressed the revs are up and down between 500 & 1500 rpm. i have changed fuel pipes,filter,filter housing, any ideas please i have none left

Knackered fuel pump or blocked inlet in the tank? I take it you've tried bleeding the injector pump and bled all the fuel lines (been doing this myself today!)

Maybe hole /split in fuel pipe letting air in so the pump can't suck it up.

i have ruled out sucking in air, i have had 2' of pipe off injector straight into a gallon can, the pump and injector pipes have been fully bled so it looks *beep* pump off at the weekend unless someone knows something i'm doing wrong. thanks for help

got my trooper up and running, two new copper washers to banjo fitting on pump and she's away
