not 100% sure on compatibility but simply put.
Fan off
small cam cover off
lock pump pulley on place with 8mm bolt by turning crank to line up hole
remove inj pipes and fuel feeds and return and wires and water pipes and cable etc
2nd batt off
primer and p/s out of way
3 nuts pump
1 bracket underneath (look through wheel arch )
back off pump nut and tap it with a hammer to release the shaft from pulley (pulley stays in place )
and reverse _________________ www.independentisuzu.co.uk |

All sorted.
Removed the electronic pump and fitted a cable operated jobbie in its place. Runs OK , just needs the timing sorted.
Thanks for the advice Dan _________________ '97 Monterey 3.1TD LWB Diamond |

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, what did you do with the stop solenoid, tps and couple of other wires on the mechanical pump? I'm doing this at the moment did you have any problems with the ecu? |
