I wont bore you all with the full story , but I have an engine with a fly by wire pump on it that I need to fit a mechanical cable operated pump too.

Having never doen this before is there a 'how to' or any tips someone can give me please ?

not 100% sure on compatibility but simply put.

Fan off
small cam cover off
lock pump pulley on place with 8mm bolt by turning crank to line up hole
remove inj pipes and fuel feeds and return and wires and water pipes and cable etc
2nd batt off
primer and p/s out of way
3 nuts pump
1 bracket underneath (look through wheel arch  Wink )
back off pump nut and tap it with a hammer to release the shaft from pulley (pulley stays in place Wink )

and reverse  Smile

All sorted.

Removed the electronic pump and fitted a cable operated jobbie in its place. Runs OK , just needs the timing sorted.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, what did you do with the stop solenoid, tps and couple of other wires on the mechanical pump? I'm doing this at the moment  did you have any problems with the ecu?
