Hello all......could anyone please assist me......I have a 2006 Rodeo crew cab pick up 3,0 tdi…...a while ago the belts went so I had them all replaced....then the damn alternator went and the battery was also a bit weak so I had a new battery also......the alternator was a fully refurbished one with 12 months Gtee….the battery is a good quality 4 yr Gtee ….

I had the alternator and the battery fitted in May this year....as you all know we have had a hot summer....so the use of heaters and lights were of a minimum or probably nil...….now the winter is here....my battery is not getting charged up.....I have had a volt meter (plug in) put in the truck....it registers 10.8 to 11.4 volts on idle ….and only a maximum of 13.6 when under full load driving.....my local garage checked this via the battery to confirm

The supplier of the alternator will check it IF I it taken off and returned...but this will cost me to remove post and re-fit....and there might be nothing wrong with it.....am I missing anything BEFORE  I go ranting and raving to the supplier of the alternator....is there a fuse or relay that needs changing or might be blown....I am pulling my hair out here as I have to trickle charge the trucks battery once a week to make sure it will start....and I drive around with limited lights and no heater for fear of draining the battery to quick....and I have just had brand new heater plugs fitted so these drain the battery pretty quick now

sorry to pester you all....but I really am stuck now

cheers and thanks for any info anyone can share
