|
|
I've been looking at moving the intercooler to the front of the engine bay, to increase cold air flow/power.
Now I've had an idea
Is there anything to be gained by fitting a 'blow down' electric fan on top of the intercooler? As I've already raised the body by 40mm, there's a gap between the top of the cooler and the bottom of the seal that's supposed to channel cold air down onto it...
I'm looking at making new air ducts out of fibreglass, to improve cold air induction, and maybe replacing the bonnet scoop for something bigger (for looks as well as performance tbh!)
I reckon that its possible to fit a fan assembly in there on standard set ups as well, so maybe such a mod will help others
Any ideas welcomed, thanks _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB
