hi i have a 03 trooper auto i was meant to be buying a runner got there this morning we went out put the key in ignition lights come on turn key to crank engine and doesnt crank you dont hear a click from the solinoid
when you turn ign on blue charging relay is chattering away, pulled it out
checked both batteries only with a meter 13.7v tried jump leads just in case
nothing flashing on the dash
could it be something to do with gear selection stick the light comes on to say its in park but really its not i did put my foot on the brake pedal
the last time it was used 3wks ago it was apparently fine i will check earths and starter when i can
any other suggestion please thanks

blue relay buzzing is because it's got a non genuine alternator on it, it won't stop it from starting. try starting it in N and wiggling the gear-lever back and forth a little bit

Hi try wiggling gearstick in park and neutral nothing
When you turn the ign on the cel stays on permanently
Shorted out pins 4 and 6 on the obd plug turned ign on and the cel didn't come on at all, am I shorting out correct pins? Being a automatic does not make a difference?
I checked wire to the starter solenoid, battery power
Any more suggestions please many thanks

check the feed on the trigger wire at the starter motor when some one turns the key to crank it over, if you got 12v then the starter must have gone if not you need to trace back to the starter relay then to the inhibiter switch to see where the feed stops
