Hi good evening everyone.

Could I ask please I have a 1994 bighorn import with a manual gearbox conversion.

The manual prop shaft appears to have a circular component to it.

Is it a damper of some sort. Does it have any serviceable components I should worry about?

It reminds me partly of a cush drive system from a shaft driven motorcycle & I recall the cush drive rubbers needed replacing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Excellent Thank you for the super fast response.

Would it be fair to say it's surplus to requirements?

If I have any problems from it I can unbolt it perhaps?

certainly doesn't seem to make any difference if it's there or not, its held on by a 10mm bolt under the prop

That's a relief, I was worried it might unbalance the prop & perhaps damage the gear box/transfer case one end & the diff at the other.

This forum is brilliant for help & advice.
