There’s a sticky in the transmission section with all fault codes in it

VSS Vehicle speed sensor...  Getting closer, would this fault cut the engine at 3300 rpm.?  where is the VSS located as it may just be that it has been over looked and just needs plugging in  fingers crossed...

Hi Eithan,

I did read that part too, just thought it related to a faulty speedo not an engine cutting out..??

Checked the plug in the back of the gearbox, hadn't been disturbed, speedo again hasn't been touched.

VSS is there to signal the speedo, can't see how it could contribute to our engine cutting out fault..??

24 was the only fault code shown when bridging pins 4&6.

As we do not have any codes to work with what could cause a 3.1 Trouper to stop dead at 3300 rpm??

Is there a fuel cut off device?

It has an electric pump I believe, how is this controlled ?

Truck drives fine just keep the rev's below 3300 and all is well..

Answers on a post card to this post please. Smile

Thanks..
