Hi Everyone

First time 4jx1 owner here, love the thing but it has an issue.

She is smokey as hell.

I bought it from a Diesel Fitter, he just replaced the Injector sleeve seals, injector seals and copper seals.

I bought it site unseen,  very cheap. I relied on photos and videos and all seemed well.

First drive of it was good... until I put it under load and the boost increased. I had a mobile smoke machine and I mean THICK smoke. Looked white to me maybe with a tinge of blue. The thing is it wouldn't show this until it came under load, then the smoke would remain until I turned it off.

I've given it a service,  correct oil, correct filters. Same issue.

I pulled the hoses off the intercooler to find it smothered in oil. It was pooling in it. I inspected the turbo and found Oil sitting in the base of the cold side. So I cleaned the intercooler out and replaced the turbo. Sweet I thought, that has to be the issue.... no no no... this is a 4jx1 after all. Same issue.

It's been suggested to me that I need to give it a run for 30 to 50km to get the oil in the motor to burn off, its not registered so that's hard to do, however I have run it at home for afew hours the smoke seems to go away then take it for a drive and its back.

It has 350k on the clock. Starts and idles ok, after a good rev it will idle slightly higher for a but then drop down to normal. Oil is clean and not rising, coolant is clean and not lowering. Has new glow plugs..  going around tight corners I have found the accelerator to be a little jolty, not sure if that means anything..

I'm abit lost now...  help!
