Morning all, thought I'd get round to registering and saying hello.

I've just completed the purchase of Dave Greens Bighorn and it is currently with Dan at Independent Isuzu having some further adjustments made before we ship it off to its new home on the Falkland Islands. If all goes to plan, it should leave the UK mid September and arrive in Stanley about a week before I'm due to land in November.

Given that I've just bought a 25yr old modified vehicle sight unseen ( I'm currently on St Helena about 4500 miles away ) having spent a few hours reading this forum and checking out the publically available info on the vehicle on the net, I feel entirely comfortable with my choice, especially having spent 30 minutes on the phone with Dan who has been exceptionally helpful throughout.

Falklands is an interesting place to drive, there being paved roads in Stanley only, with some main "spine" routes heading out of town being primarily gravel and potholes - everything else is offroad and can be quite challenging as there is a lot of peat land around which is best avoided if possible. I hope to be able to post some pictures and videos later this year as I'm looking forward to getting the Isuzu out to some of the remoter parts of the Islands.

Welcome. This all sounds exiting. As you have found, Dan is a top bloke for your needs.
