Can anyone out there please help.

I own a Trooper 3.0L diesel Reg: year 2000, I have already fixed a fuel leak at the back of the car where the rubber fuel lines go over the rear axle and connect onto the steel fuel lines.
Basically, I had to cut the steel pipe ends and fit long rubber pipes to make up the shortfall.

Now it’s developed another leak about half way along the side of the car, I am now thinking of replacing most of the metal pipe line, well at least to where they start to go up into the engine bay.

Two Questions Guys;

Bearing in mind it’s a diesel should I use J30 P6 or J30 P9 hose??

Iv'e read on this forum the pipe bore sizes are 8mm feed and 6mm return.
I read elsewhere the J30 P9 has an internal diameter of 6.4mm rather than 6mm, will a jubilee clip fix it without any leakage where I join it onto the existing metal tube which is 6mm outside diameter in the engine bay.
The larger J30 P9 pipe has an internal diameter of 7.9mm but I think that’s as near as dam it to 8mm so should fit over the existing steel pipe if I warm the rubber up.

Obviosity if I use J30 P6 the bore sizes will be correct.  

I'm sure someone out there has already done this type of job and I would be so grateful for any help as I’m desperately trying to get the car back on the road.
