Hi

Can someone out there help me, first off, I’m talking about a 3.0L TD   2000 reg 4JX type engine Trooper.

Bleeding the brakes, it makes no difference which side the steering is on the sequence is to start from the brake calliper furthest away from the brake master cylinder and work your way around them leaving the calliper nearest to the brake master cylinder until last.

Questions:  My car does not have an ABS system so there is no fuse to be pulled out.

Am I correct in stating the engine needs to be running during the bleeding operation to prevent damage happening to the power assist booster?

My car does have a load sensing proportioning valve about 2 foot forward of the rear axle and on it is a bleed screw.
When bleeding the rear callipers will the load sensing proportioning valve automatically be bled since fluid travels through it to each of the rear callipers, if this is so can someone tell me what the purpose is for the bleed screw on the proportioning valve?

Your sequence sounds right to me (or at least that's how I would do it)
I would imagine the only reason for the bleed nipple for the Load Sensing Valve would be if you have changed it out so it will then require bleeding. Also if you have changed any component upstream from the valve then it will require bleeding to ensure no air is trapped on route to the rear callipers.
