Hi

Can anyone out there help me please?

First off, I talking about an Isuzu Trooper 3.0L diesel year 2000.
It appears to have developed a water leak.
I’ve had a look under the car and it appears to be leaking at a sealant joint between the crankcase and its cover, I didn’t think there were waterways that low down in the engine?

But if the leak is there, is it a major job to drop the crankcase cover to allow access for cleaning the old sealant off and applying new or is it an engine out job, in which case I won't be capable of doing it.
