To ease the removal of the 4L30e Auto trans from a 1997 3.2l V6 I propose to remove the (front) suspension crossmember.

The vehicle has its front wheels raised on standard car ramps, thus the suspension is normally loaded.

I cannot see any structural collapse occurring when I remove this, but would like a second or third opinion.

Apologies if this has already been raised in another post -  I just can't find it!

Thanks in anticipation

This turned out to be a rhetorical question.  The answer is yes!

Thanks for looking
