Does anyone know whether the oil that is pumped up the high pressure oil pipe, that feeds the injector rail on a 3.0, goes back down to the sump or is it a dead end?
Just trying to work out a possible cause of some probs on a friends car after the rectification work was completed.

The oil is pumped into the oil gallery/rail then down across the injectors and back into the sump.

I have got a copy of the manual that covers the 3.0DT - if you want a copy mailing over let me know and I will stick on on CD for you (too large to email)
