Sorry to bore you with more oil related problems.
I have a 2003 3.0d Citation SWB, with 33k on the clock.
Injectors were done recently along with heater mod.
Oil pressure has always been around 85, never moved, until tonight.
Driving home i noticed it was around the quarter mark on the gauge , 85 is at half way. I was only driving slowly. I stopped immediately and revved the engine a bit. Now what happens is oil pressure increases with revs, fine around 2000rpm but drops right down at tickover.
Having read all the terrible problems its got me really worked up.
Any comments, suggestions please.
Also, should i check for any other campaigns/recalls? ie turbo |

A couple of years back, the reading on my oil pressure gauge dropped down very low when hot on tickover (only about a needle thickness from zero). This happened quite suddenly too and worried me, until I realised that the engine just wouldn't run if it was really that low. Replacing the oil pressure sensor cured it.
Now, at tickover when hot, the gauge on my 2000 LWB Citation is a little over a quarter - but increases with engine revs and is about 85psi at 2000rpm and over. I think that's pretty normal. FWIW, it's a 2000 LWB 3.0D with 102K miles on the clock - still runs like new (or better).
Cheers
