I have got a bit of play in my front wheel bearings, there is no noise yet, is it possible to "nip them up" a bit, or will they need replacing. I have auto free wheeling hubs, how do i get to the bearings? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. (1992 lwb 2.8td trooper)

Strip the auto hub off, then you can get to the bearings, heres a few pics
They are from the later model but almost the same.

I'd take them out, clean them up and see how worn the races insuide the hub look and check for pitting, damage to the rollers etc and if they look fine repack them with fresh grease and tighten them up to the right play..
