|
|
3.2 V6 auto citation 1993.
I am seeing a drip of coolant from under the car to the rear of the engine behind the oil pan. It only starts to drip as the car cools down a little and then stops, loss seems to be about 50cc each time. Are there any coolant pipes back there?
Bought the car a month ago & have just had the heads done, think this leak might have been original cause of gasket failure. |

It could be many things, imo the only way is to check using a mirror.
I just hope its not the head weeping
Just a thought but its not condensation from the air con is it

No I don't think so cause its blue water.
By the way the bulb has gone in the aircon and needs a recharge. Is it off or on when the button is in? |

I am in Coppull, Chorley.
Give me a chance to see if I can find out what it is.
If I can't sort it then I will take you up on the offer.
Sounds a good friendly club.

Could it be a leaking heater matrix/pipe/connection? Thats usually the cause of leaks at the back ends of engines. Not sure where the heater matrix and pipes are routed but I'd check em out first. Do your windows steam up when you put it on defrost and hot? _________________ Phil

Found the problem. Heater matrix pipe clips were tired and when the system was hot they were seeping at the connections running down the manifold and collecting. Jubille clips rule. |
