Hi Folks, went to local fast fit place on Friday to get tracking done prior to having new tyres fitted on Saturday.  was told that they couldn't do it because the track rod ends were seized (which I know isn't uncommon).  

They sprayed WD40 and heated the nuts up but wouldn't heat the trackrod ends because they said they were plastic inside - which surprised me.  Is this the case? the truck's a Monterey 3.1 swb by the way.

theyre not plastic just rubber sheathed with grease inside.

goto vauxhall you can get two new track rod ends and the threaded section for £50 a side.
