just spent the last three days welding A SMALL HOLE on my friends swb mk1. " it only needs a small plate by the back spring hanger" he informed me. 3 days later small plate done, as well as 2' of chassis on o/s &n/s/r, new rear crossmember 3 new outriggers (cheers phil for your write up on making them), cracks near torsion bar brackets plated, new brake pipe (grinder slipped), so when a friend asks for a little favour watch out. the good side is he now owes me a big favour and his dads got a villa in cyprus |

the hardest job was removing and refitting the fuel tank, then i just cut through chassis with a 9"grinder o/s just behind spring hanger, n/s just before bump stop bracket. then just replaced the lot with 75x50x4 box. photos to follow |
