Does anybody know the length of the 1 1/2" lift shackles for the rear of a mk1.
Its not a silly question, i just dont want to buy some to find they are allready fitted  Embarassed

just looked at mine marky and they are 180mm witch give me a 1" lift.
Thats from top - bottom of shackle.

so you should need 203mm ish ones. i think  Confused

if you normal shackle is say 2" long

and you replace it with a 6" long one (4" longer than stock) YOU WILL GET 2" LIFT

The ones that are on are 130mm / 5" so they are standard, so i want 200mm / 8" then  Very Happy

measure the ones you have got, and then every 1 inch extra will give 0.5 inches lift.

Grrrrr ive got the lifting bug, if i go 1.5" on the back i have to lift the front, then i will get camber problems and have to flip the ball joints and go to a 2.5" on the front, wich means i will have to get uprated springs for the back. wahhhhhhhh my brain hurts Laughing
