Hi,

I'm still getting familiar with my '94 Bighorn Trooper. I noticed that I have got two fog-light switches. One looks like a factory switch, and the other, looks after-market. The aftermarket switch operates the rear fog-light, which looks like it's an add-on - probably added as part of the import process from Japan.

The factory foglight switch, was described as "Front Foglights" by the dealer who sold me the vehicle when he was quickly pointing out all of the switches and buttons and what they do, etc. Having had the vehicle for a few days, I had thought to myself "front foglights, where are they then?" because there were no obvious separate foglights at the front.

To cut a long story short, I've checked, and there are no wires going to the factory switch, so perhaps it's had add-on foglights/driving lamps in the past and they have been removed, but the switch has been left behind.

My question is - what do the factory fog lights look like on a '94 - are they sunk into the bumper like later models? Is it worth trying to get hold of some, or as anybody found any particularly good add-on fog lamps that fit/suit the trooper well?

Cheers,

Steve.

Check behind the switch again. If you can see a spare connector probably wrapped with foam then it's a good bet that the wiring is all there for the driving light option. Next, check behind the bumper. There should be removeable blanking plates giving you the option of fitting the factory lights.
