I know it's short notice but I only just got to find out myself - there's a pay n play day at Holymoorside tomorrow £25.
I think it's near Chesterfield but aren't sure (I'll be following a mate). Can any of you make it? Anyone been there? Is it any good? Any pics? _________________ 1994 BIGHORN 3.1TD LOTUS

I went.
It was mental and I nearly tipped the Troop on it's side again.
Pics soon. _________________ 1994 BIGHORN 3.1TD LOTUS

Ok. Here's a few pics. of my Troop in action and getting stuck. It's a good job my mate with the Chevy went to pull me out.
Gotta admit, his motor is bloody awesome - it even manages 40" deep mud. No mean feat for any motor, regardless of size. There is a link at the bottom of the page to the whole album.
I know a lot of you aren't into off-roading but it might just whet your appetite The pics really don't do justice to the time had, though and the bit where I nearly rolled don't look that bad on screen. And I didn't damage it at all. Phew!
Bet you thought your Trooper was a big car?
Peek a boo
It was finely balanced here and, when I climbed out, it nearly fell over.
Trepidation (didn't check the depth first)
In the middle it wasn't that deep - only up to the headlights
Doesn't look much here but those are 38" tyres and one of them is buried in mud (over 3' deep!) and he still drove out.

Funnily enough, there wasn't a single Land rover there! Not proper Landies anyway - there were two Discos (one of which was really well prepped but I only bothered taking pics of my Troop and Kev's Chev).
Most of the very few other cars there were modded Suzukis which went in on trailers and did all right with their excellent rampover angle and small size. _________________ 1994 BIGHORN 3.1TD LOTUS
