Here we go pics of the snorkel fitted, I've missed some out, sry.
The snorkel is off a 300tdi landrover discovery.
my original design changed several times through the week as things didn't work how I wanted them to. Evil or Very Mad

Everything that could be sealed with sealant was also.


The filter housing was removed and the brackets onit cut off and moved round then welded back on so to allow the intake hole to point to the wing.



The green hose it attached to a ridged elbow that came with the snorkel.



The expansion tank was moved to the bulkhead as they was no room and also the little vacuum things Laughing where move to the diesel filter bracket.

4th pic down the hole was a nice round one done via a hole cutter on the drill but the 1st plan never worked so in went the grinder Laughing

mmm... err..... only 4 meters. the second plan didn't work either Rolling Eyes


so got a a little bit spare Laughing anyone fitting a snorkel.

Just worked it out at 1.8" taller.......I think Rolling Eyes

Do they change the gearing noticably?

Gearing is bad in high box now, not so bad in low but as it's never going back on the road I can live with it.. (for now Laughing )

they lifted the car 2inch and it's also got a 1" suspension lift.

What size pipe does the snorkle top slip on to?

Can you buy the safari top on it's own?

Just thinking that stainless tube is pretty cheap, and if you could buy the ram top's it could look quite smart, not to blue peter y'now Laughing
