Hi everybody
can any one help me ,i have a 94 big horn(auto) not having had automatic before it seems to me to not changing into top gear.the engine is at 3000 revs at 60 mph. is this about right?

Yes perfectly all right for top gear (D). What you're not getting is the Overdrive. Button is on the gearstick. If your overdrive is NOT engaged, there should be a yellow warning light on the centre console up towards the dash.

Try switching the switch on the gear lever. The O/D will only come in when the engine is warmed up a little and the speed is over 36 mph.

You will then feel 2 changes to the revs. One change is the lock-up converter activating and the other is the OD gear kicking in.

Revs/MPH for OD enaged is approx 2750 rpm @ 70 mph.

yes you are right the overdrive was off will test drive in the morning.
don,t know what i would without you chaps. another thing you might be able to help me with is how to disconnect the reversing buzzer as i want to fit reversing sensors and two buzzers could be very confusing.

its on the fuse box , looks like a relay, just pull it out.
