I love my 92 'Horn, but the auto lets it down.
Throttle position sensor tweaks and fluid made it better.
But now my overdrive has flipped out.
Too many sensor and ECUs and outside of this forum - no real knowledge I've found.

I think there is a good reason(s) that Isuzu didn't sell the auto in the UK.....

So a summer project might be a manual conversion. I've done similar conversions on Landies, so I know roughly whats involved - but not the Isuzu specifics.

I'm thinking I'll buy a ratty £500 UK spec Trooper and swap in the gearbox from that. That way I get pedal boxes, and interior trim to suit.

Anyone ever done it ?

How useful would a MK1 2.8 be as a donor ?

Andy

I think the 2.8 shares the same gearbox, but i also think you would need a pedal box out of a mk2.
Not really looked but check the starter to as i messed up on a ford once as the sump was different(starter on different side)
