I have just spent the last couple of hours reading through various posts on the recall side and I am really panicking now !!

Bought a 3.0 end of Dec and have been trying to find out if recall work has been done thanks to you guys. Year 2000 with 84,000 miles.
Still having starting issues which are being investigated. Found out now we have a grey import from Cyprus, spoke to them today he can get the injectors to us if we pay air freight of £100. Couple of questions if anyone can help.

Firstly how do we now get registered on IM UK ?

Would we have to pay to have the injectors fitted ?

Is there any other work we need to check hs been done or is overdue ?

Any other info would be really appreciated before our engine goes pop !!   Sad

The recalls for UK troopers also included the ceramic heater, but as yours is from Cyprus you may not have the winter pack which includes the ceramic heater and second battery.  Please correct me if i am wrong.
As for the injectors, i would have thought if you were prepared to make a contribution to the cost of having the work done IM should be very happy.  But don't really see why you should pay all the costs.  £100 for the air freght to import the injectors seems to be a bit steep.

Have you spoken to International Motors yet ? If not I would suggest that should be your next move. 0121 522 2000.

I have just spoken to IM Watford who I have to say was VERY HELPFUL. Between speaking to them and Mr Twister (thanks Steve), we feel a lot more relaxed with our trooper now.

Basically we have to pay the air freight to get the injectors over here, as soon as we have them in our hands, phone Watford and they will arrange for our local Isuzu dealer to fit them FOC.

I can't tell you what a relief this is after readig all the horror stories about engines going 'bang' on here.

Thank you to all who took the time to post their advice and I'll keep you informed of ours.

Finally got the injectors and sleeves replaced yesterday. We had to pay the £100 to have them shipped from Cyprus, but worth every penny for peace of mind.
. All we had to pay was for some coolant, so we can live with that.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who helped us during this worrying time. If it wasn't for you guys on here we wouldn't have known about the recall work in the first place.

If I can be of any help to anyone else waiting for recall work, ie tel no's, contacts etc , then please let me know.
Hopefully now we can relax and enjoy the drive !!!! Laughing
