I dont think its the pressure switch, more like the oil pump or the pressure relief valve.
As posted before, its best you ask the landie lot really. _________________ |

I wouldn't be too worried, infact the oil light flickering at low revs isn't necessarily a problem, what is a problem is if it comes on and stays on at higher rpm! Knowing what landrover electrics are like it could even be faulty wiring!
You might find that changing the oil for a good quality brand with the right viscosity will help though cos if the oil's too thin when it's warm it'd lower the oil pressure, just remember the LR engine was originally designed in the 1950s so will have wider tolerances than up to date jap engines so the correct oil type will be just as critical! As for the oil leak I think you'll find that's quite normal! (it helps stop the chassis rusting out anyway ) |

Recommended grade is 15/40,capacity is 6.8L (with filter) interval 6000miles. I would use good quality oil designed for turbo diesel engines along with a genuine filter. |

You could always, dump the c r a p p y landrover engine,
And stick a proper 2.8 izusu one in, just like the rangerover crowd do.hehe _________________ I DIDN'T TOUCH IT, HONEST!
